We are looking for an outstandingly versatile and passionate Commercial Specialist to join our BC Pipeline team!

What You Will Do:

• Provide data and analytics for pipeline commercial projects, business change activities and applications through the application of regulatory and business knowledge.

• Contribute to pipeline commercial initiatives, such as supporting regulatory proceedings, information requests/responses, and settlement discussions, wherever necessary.

• Develop and maintain commercial data sets and presentations.

• Perform required analysis for supply, demand, industry trends, markets, etc. to support commercial initiatives and decisions.

• Support and implement corporate strategies to BC Pipeline.

• Proactively support BC Pipeline commercial initiatives and projects across BC Pipeline in a timely and effective manner to achieve results. Work with internal and external partners to resolve any concerns and build standard processes.

• Assist and support special projects as assigned.

Who you are

You have the following qualifications and skills:

Required:

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.

• 7+ years natural gas sector experience.

• Excellent grasp of the BC competitive pipeline landscape and the dynamics of the natural gas markets.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, and Power BI.

• Robust communication (verbal & written); facilitation and presentation skills a must.

• Flexibility, creativity, and mental agility; “out of the box” thinking and perseverance required, i.e. ability to find solutions within the constraints of existing commercial constructs.

• Occasional travel to customer-based locations with some overnight stays required.

Preferred:

• Strong working knowledge of regulatory requirements associated with pipeline project development, financial regulation and ongoing operations.

• Strong working knowledge of the financial regulatory model associated with pipelines, with knowledge on the regulatory requirements associated with ongoing operations and project development also an asset.

• Strong working knowledge of contractual arrangements.
