We have a great opportunity for you to join our Infrastructure Planning team! The Infrastructure Planning Engineer will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of optimization initiatives for the Liquid Pipelines System. This role is essential in optimizing the operations of the terminal and pipeline systems through identifying and leading initiatives and/or project activities to enhance value in a safe manner.

Note: This is for 2 positions.

What Will You Do:

  • Acts as a single point of contact for Asset Performance, Business Development & Customer Service into Liquids Pipelines technical teams.

  • Lead pipeline and terminal planning and drive the development and implementation of optimization initiatives and projects in order to increase system throughput, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Provide recommendations on problems that drive business decision-making.

  • Prepare operating philosophy for new projects and initiatives based on technical expertise in pipeline operations and guidance from multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Develop functional scope for projects that optimize the base business, extend growth, or adapt to energy transition.

  • Support the Project Lifecycle Gating Control and the Acquisitions & Divestures process.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university or college.

  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in Canada or eligible to register.

  • 4 or more years of experience in the oil and gas industry in one or more areas relating to pipeline operations, scheduling, project management fundamentals and/or pipeline hydraulics.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to evaluate technical and non-technical needs to deliver on the functional requirements against risks and business drivers.

  • Committed and proven ability to develop and manage relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Strong prioritizing and organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Office based role.

  • Under 5% travel.
