Enbridge is looking for an Advisor for Financial Planning & Analysis. Within this role you will ensure projects and new business initiatives are developed in accordance with corporate policies. This position provides financial and economic analysis and advice to the Liquids Pipelines business development and execution project managers, and senior management, with modest oversight/guidance from Manager/Team Lead and Senior Advisors.

This position is also responsible for conducting analysis on various issues for Management and assisting in the development, modeling, and recommendation of tolling alternatives and strategies and providing toll estimates/forecasts to Regulatory Strategy and Compliance, Business Development, Accounting and other internal groups.

What you will do:

  • Reviews and develops increasingly complex financial models of business development initiatives including fully integrated financial statements and consolidation impacts with minimal oversight/ guidance from Manager/Team Lead and Senior Advisors. Ensures that models are robust, transparent and flexible.

  • Develop comprehensive models and carryout various analysis for forecasting, budgeting, regulatory filing and others periodic analytical initiatives.

  • Assist in the development of commercial agreements and tolling principles.

  • Assists in the investigation, documentation, and analysis of complex financial and economic issues.

  • Develop and maintain toll models that reflect current accumulated agreements for pipeline systems operated by Enbridge Pipelines.

  • Model/reconcile moderately complicated deals, and provide advice on tolling alternatives and outline issues and interdependencies.

  • Ensures utilization of standardized valuation methodology to permit inter-project comparisons.

  • Identifies and incorporates into financial models the appropriate tax, financing, accounting and legal considerations including supporting memoranda opinions.

  • Reviews financial, economic and other key inputs provided by project stakeholders to ensure they are based on realistic and consistent assumptions. Identifies potential areas of risk and suggests risk mitigants.

Who you are:

  • Business education from a nationally recognized program with MBA and/or CFA

  • A minimum of 4-7 years of relevant experience.

  • Knowledge of the crude oil transportation industry is desirable.

  • Superior financial modeling skills and strong understanding of accounting, tax, financing, and legal issues.
