JOB SUMMARY: Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:
The Manager Marketing and Customer Service position reports to the Director – Maine Natural Gas. Plans and directs the activities of a staff responsible for customer acquisition by developing and maintaining the marketing plan. Manages websites, advertising, promotions, and other tactics used in direct support of increasing sales. Responsible all customer service staff and activities including billing, meter reading and direct customer interactions. Responsible for the new customer connection process.
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities): 1. Manages customer acquisition activities including budget management, development of annual marketing plan, and/or other planning documents (20%) 2. Researches, investigates, and plans with senior management overall marketing policies, sales policies, procedures, and organizational operations. Assists in the interpretation of MPUC regulations as they pertain to marketing and sales practices (20%). 3. Analyzes sales and provides information to senior management. Contributes to marketing and sales department program development, including budgetary input, contributions to marketing plan, and achievement of marketing goals (20%). 4. Provides direct supervision and support to marketing and customer service staff. Manages staff to achieve marketing program goals, and customer related SQIs (20%). 5. Develops and manages internal customer acquisition processes including working with engineering and operations to insure a timely process for connecting new customers. (20%).
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience preferred. Associates Degree with a minimum of 10 years relevant experience or High School/GED with the completion of the relevant progression program and 15 years relevant experience required. Skills/Abilities:
