The Equipment Buyer is responsible for assisting with managing one of North America’s largest construction contractor’s equipment inventory. This position will research, source, evaluate, and advise on customized equipment purchasing decisions. Critical for success is a strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent customer service to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers. Strong negotiation and communication skills are a must.

    What it takes:

  • High School Diploma or GED, 4+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination

  • Mechanical or technical aptitude

  • Advance working knowledge of all aspects of heavy equipment operation and design

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills

  • Negotiation experience and an understanding of contract tern and conditions

  • Customer service and vendor management expirience

  • Valid drivers license
