Job Purpose

To support implementation and maintenance of regulatory compliance assurance processes. To guide US businesses on appropriate levels of governance, reporting, controls testing, and performance metrics for 2nd Line assurance activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform independent, risk-based validation/monitoring and testing of compliance controls.

  • Using compliance performance data and test results, support the business in developing control remediation plans and sustainable compliance controls.

  • Work with 2nd Line assurance / performance teams within the business to support risk-based control testing and obligations management activities.

  • Assist the business with performance breakdown reviews and root cause analyses related to compliance performance.

  • Assist in capturing regulatory obligations and controls in GRC (includes categorizing and ranking obligations)

  • Support development and maintenance of regulatory assurance processes, procedures, and frameworks.

  • Create and administer reporting mechanisms, KPIs, and resulting scorecards for effective compliance performance management (aggregation of local, functional, and regional performance)

  • Contribute to NY and NE certification processes.

Qualifications

  • At least 7 years’ experience in testing/auditing standard controls/procedures, developing and delivering performance results reporting and improvement in highly technical field or in multiple, related fields. Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Thorough knowledge of sufficient control design and testing in addition to performance management measurement techniques

  • Ability to grasp complex issues and effectively integrate, compile, and analyze information and data

  • Strong understanding of risks and sufficient controls (Compliance/ Audit/ SOX experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of NY regulatory obligations

  • Excel and PowerPoint proficiency required

  • Current experience and knowledge of RSA Archer GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) system preferred

  • Manage stakeholder relationships by providing trusted advice related to control design and testing, performance management and seeking feedback to continuously improve control testing and performance analysis.

  • Facilitate continuous improvement by contributing to performance breakdown and root cause analysis reviews with business.
