National Grid is hiring a Global Benefits Communication and Engagement Lead for our Global Benefits/Reward team in Brooklyn, NY.
Job Purpose
The Global Benefits Communication and Engagement Lead strategically designs and delivers initiatives aimed at significantly enhancing colleague engagement and overall experience with our global benefits programs. This role ensures that communication and engagement efforts align seamlessly with broader business objectives, fostering increased awareness, appreciation, and utilization of benefits across our diverse global workforce.
Key Accountabilities
Strategic Leadership and Experience Design
• Develop and lead innovative, comprehensive global engagement strategies for employee benefits that drive improved participation, understanding, and satisfaction.
• Act as part of a project team to ensure alignment with total reward colleague engagement and experience principles.
• Act as a key leader in global benefits colleague engagement projects, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic direction and industry-leading practices.
Operational Management
• Develop and execute annual engagement and communication plans, particulary the annual benefits open enrollment/flex window for actve and retired colleagues, and continually assessing the plan’s effectiveness through rigorous data analytics and feedback loops.
• Regularly audit and enhance digital communication platforms, ensuring content is accurate, compelling, relevant, and user-friendly.
• Utilize analytical insights to identify gaps and opportunities, driving continual improvements in employee benefits communication and engagement.
Stakeholder and Vendor Partnership
Content Development and Delivery
• Create engaging, clear, and informative content tailored for global audiences across various media, including digital, print, webinars, video, and live presentations.
• Ensure communications resonate across diverse colleague groups, enhancing benefits literacy at critical career and life moments.
Budget and Resource Management
• Effectively manage and monitor the global benefits engagement and experience budget.
• Ensure optimal resource utilization and compliance with budget constraints for engagement initiatives.
Compliance and Market Trends
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of global benefits compliance requirements, including relevant legislation and market practices in the UK, US, and internationally.
• Provide proactive advice on market disruptions and legislative changes impacting global benefit strategies.
Qualifications
• Extensive experience (7+ years) in benefits engagement, communication, and employee experience design on a global scale.
• Expertise in translating complex benefits information into clear and engaging communications.
• Proficiency in using HRIS, benefits platforms, and data analytics tools.
• Proven success in managing global projects and multiple stakeholder relationships.
• Strong knowledge of global benefits regulations, market trends, and best practices (including US ERISA, IRS regulations, HIPAA; UK Salary Sacrifice and benefits compliance).

Salary
$136k - $150k a year
