The Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and decision-making support within the team to ensure timely and controlled progression of Work Order Lifecyle. The Analyst is also responsible for developing and implementing corrective measures and procedures to improve the working of National Grid across the Acquire to Retire business activities and Fixed Assets Processes.
Reports to the Manager, Plant Accounting in the US Controllership.
Provide reporting and advanced analytics that monitor, measure, and manage work orders.
Support the cadence of reporting needed to effectively communicate findings and actions required and support adherence to the controls-based framework related to work orders and overall financial results.
Ensure corrective measures, that enhance and improve the work order lifecycle timeliness to closeout with high quality of financial results, are developed and maintained.
Manage the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, and job aids that provide the foundation of the work order lifecycle controls framework.
Research and analyze key themes from a wide range of data sources to identify the impact of different scenarios on the business.
Develop expertise and relationships that contribute to the identification and formulation of objectives to drive change and innovation within National Grid.
Ensure a continuous improvement approach is maintained and challenge existing ways of working to continuously seek ways to improve and drive greater efficiencies.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 2+ years substantial relevant experience.
Excellent proficiency in relevant software e.g. Microsoft Office products Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Access.
Primavera, PowerPlan, and SAP experience is desirable.
