Position Trainer (OQ)

Description

Duties & Responsibilities

• Deliver new hire safety training and OQ training via review of training documents

• Oversee learning management system (LMS) assignments, completion, and assistance

• Ensure trainees complete required assignments/training

• Evaluates performance during training and provides training evaluations and assessments

• Follow training procedures to ensure proper content delivery

• Deliver presentations to support technical skills and hands-on knowledge development.

• Conduct OQ audits (via Onboard application) and create OQ profiles

• Manage our Training Tracking (via Industry Safe application)

• Set expectations with trainees of training protocol

• Manage attendance and monitor classroom

• Stay current with OQ training presentations and skills.

• Ensure training locations are setup (attendance sheets, assignments, adequate training collateral, presentations).

• Works with peers and supervisors to determine training needs and content focus/re-focus.

• Incorporates new procedures and revisions into training programs when needed

Position Requirements

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma required.

• Previous experience providing classroom and technical training

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.

Preferred

• 5 or more years’ experience with gas utility installation and services

• Knowledge Operator Qualification (OQ) certifications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong organizational and writing skills

• Ability to work independently
