Idaho Power — headquartered in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for an IT Project Manager to join our Information Technology team.

Wages for each level are as follows:
Entry Wage: $32.29 - $40.36 Non-Exempt
Mid/Senior Wage: $85,300.80 - $123,739.20 Exempt
What does an Entry IT Project Manager do for us?
Under direct supervision, the Entry IT Project Manager is responsible for managing small technology projects and resources, providing administrative support for the IT PPMO, and providing project coordination for the Technology Portfolio projects.
The Entry IT Project Manager will utilize IT PPMO standards to guide projects from initiation through completion; delivering value while remaining on-time and within budget.
The technology projects typically managed by the Entry IT Project Manager can range from 1-4 months duration and budgets less than $100,000.
This position resides within the Information Technology (IT) PPMO organization.
What does an IT Project Manager do for us?
Under moderate supervision, the IT Project Manager is responsible for managing medium-to-large technology projects and resources, providing mentorship to Entry IT Project Managers, and providing feedback to improve upon the IT PPMO standards.
The IT Project Manager will utilize IT PPMO standards to guide projects from initiation through completion. They will leverage techniques from both predictive and adaptive project approaches to deliver value while remaining on-time and within budget.
The technology projects typically managed by the IT Project Manager can range from 6-12 months duration and budgets less than $500,000. The projects may include, but are not limited to: software upgrades, hardware upgrades, software development, and off-the-shelf solution implementations.
What does a Senior IT Project Manager do for us?
Working independently, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for managing large, high-risk, multi-faceted technology projects and resources, providing mentoring and coaching to other staff members, contributing directly to the maturity of the IT PPMO, and teaching project management courses for the organization.
The Senior IT Project Manager will utilize IT PPMO standards to guide projects from initiation through completion. They will leverage techniques from both predictive and adaptive project approaches to deliver value while remaining on-time and within budget.
The technology projects typically managed by the Senior IT Project Manager can range from 6-24 months duration and may have budgets exceeding $1 million. The projects may include, but are not limited to: software upgrades, hardware upgrades, software development, and off-the-shelf solution implementations.
This position resides within the Information Technology (IT) PPMO organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Entry IT Project Manager:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field
OR
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and/or certifications

IT Project Manager:
Education:

Experience:
2 years of experience in a project management role with a minimum of:
1 year managing technology projects
Prefer:
Experience managing technology projects
Ability to manage projects using adaptive and predictive approaches
Senior IT Project Manager:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or related field
OR
- An equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and/or certifications
Experience:
5 or more years of experience in a project management role with a minimum of:
3 years of experience managing technology projects
Proven ability to manage projects using adaptive and predictive approaches
Preferred:
Experience managing highly complex technology projects including but not limited to: enterprise-level technology implementations
Managing purchased solutions that include management of a vendor and/or contract resources.
Licenses & Certifications:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Must be able to act in other project-related roles such as Scrum Master, Program Manager, or Business Systems Analyst (BSA).
Partners with the contracting agent to ensure the contracts (MSA, SLA, SOW, etc.) align with company and technology requirements for desired project approach, implementation, and ongoing support.
Senior:
May act in the role of a Scrum Master.
Participates in but is not directly responsible for contracting in projects.
