Eversource Energy Senior Analyst, Regulatory Project in Berlin, Connecticut

This position is responsible for facilitating Eversource to meet their regulatory obligations in Connecticut and New Hampshire as established by law and regulatory decisions.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitors and coordinates Eversource’s participation in active regulatory proceedings.
  • Ensures appropriate individuals within Eversource are aware of compliance obligations.
  • Ensures filings are appropriately reviewed, receive necessary approvals, and are made in a timely fashion.
  • Assists filing technicians, and on occasion make filings.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Proficient in use of the CaseWorks and Archer regulatory management systems.
  • Ability to summarize in writing both the written and the spoken word quickly and accurately
  • Advanced organizational and time management skills are also essential since each Analyst is required to manage several proceedings, each with their own schedule
  • Effective interpersonal skills are necessary since the job requires interaction with a myriad of individuals within the Companies (e.g., legal, regulatory affairs, business owners) as well as with state regulatory agencies
  • Regulatory Analysts work closely, often sharing docket responsibilities as necessary to be responsive to regulatory and business deadlines


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Experience :

  • Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years related experience
  • Prior regulatory or utility experience preferred

Licenses & Certifications:

  • None

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

Mental Aspects :

  • The job requires the ability to manage several dockets simultaneously, as well as multiple compliance orders, which require problem solving skills related to logistics and critical path assessment
