Nuclear Technical Specialist - Work Controls Department Preventive Maintenance & Surveillance Program Coordinator (Plant Hatch)

Job Highlights:

This position reports to the Work Controls Manager and is responsible for the coordination, administration and implementation of the Planned Maintenance (PM) and Surveillance Testing (SV) Program.

Job Summary

The selected applicant will be part of an integral part of the SV and PM Program team, working closely with the Engineering PM Coordinator, Maintenance Work Planners and System/Program Engineers. They will work with the Work Week Managers, Cycle Schedulers and Discipline Schedulers to ensure PM and SV task are accurately scheduled in the Cycle Plan and work implementation schedule. They will also work with the Maintenance, Engineering and Operations Teams to achieve timely completion of SV and PM tasks.

Specific activities include:

Drive Equipment Reliability by ensuring completion of PMs on time, minimizing PM deferrals and PM performance in grace.

Use PM Feedback and technical reviews to optimize value of PM Tasks and drive continuous improvement of the PM Program.

Monitor PM Change process to ensure that it is efficient, rigorous and timely.

Ensure regulatory compliance by ensuring that all Surveillance task are performed as required by the Technical Specification.

Analysis and adjustment of Cycle Plan to support effective and efficient implementation of PM and SV Program.

Monitor various reports to ensure PM grace is maintenance top quartile, no missed or late PM or SV tasks.

Monitor and execute the Preventive Maintenance Change process to ensure Equipment Reliability Index is maintained top quartile.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

Technical or BS degree is a plus

Experience Requirements

3 years related nuclear work experience preferred

Experience in one of more of the following areas highly desired: project management, work management, maintenance, operations..

Experience with commercial scheduling, work tracking, schedule analysis and report development software such as Maximo, and Primavera (P6) a plus as well as building NORAD reports.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Understanding of standard scheduling methods and principles is desired.

Familiar with concepts related to resource utilization and the associated budget impacts.

Familiar with concepts related to integrated scheduling and risk management.

Ability to analyze critical situations; determine competent solutions with implementation in a safe and effective manner.

Ability to work with people to achieve organizational objectives.

Ability to make decisions and demonstrate short/long-term strategic management skills.

Excellent computing skills with ability to rapidly master use of new software applications.

Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.

Must have a demonstrated ability to successfully set priorities, make decisions, and implement objectives.

Occasional travel to other SNC sites, industry meetings, and other plants.

Extended work schedule during refueling outage periods.

The successful candidate must meet background screening and NRC Fitness for Duty requirements.
