Entergy Gas Program Coordinator in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

*Entergy has entered into an agreement to sell its Louisiana gas distribution business to Bernhard Capital Partners. The sale is expected to close in approximately the third quarter of 2025. Entergy has no planned reduction in workforce as a result of this sale, and intends to operate the business as usual prior to the sale.*

Job Summary/Purpose

All members of Entergy’s Safety and Compliance group will be expected to own safety, support Compliance with program areas, work to prevent incidents and seek to identify improvements to support the Gas team’s compliance with programs. The program coordinator will be responsible for leading and reporting on aspects of programs with Gas Operations. There are two major focus areas that a program coordinator can be assigned, field presence and/or data and analytics. Program coordinators will spend time with observing work being performed related to the program support needs. They will also need to support maintenance of Gas programs as well as audits of compliance with programs and compiling data for interpretation and dissemination of the data across the groups.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Support the Gas Operations organization with the execution of assigned Gas Safety and Compliance Program / Plan

  • These Safety and Compliance Programs include areas such as Damage Prevention Plan, Public Awareness Plan, and other areas as assigned.

  • Tasks include gathering necessary inputs from the field supporting organizations, compiling and managing the associated data, analyzing the data for requested areas as well as for trends, support and monitoring of workgroup workload such as electronic locate ticket system data.

  • Receiving, interpreting, and presenting data to leadership and stakeholders with recommendations for actions.

  • Coordinating efforts to improve safety performance across multiple regions.

  • Coordinate actions across the business units through peer groups to drive improvement for Gas Operations.

  • Lead and/or participate in internal and external special project teams with the purpose of continuous improvement.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education

  • Bachelor Preferred

Minimum Experience

  • 5+ years Gas Operations with minimum 3 years in Compliance Program areas

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities

  • Thorough understanding of applicable PMSHA regulations and industry guidelines.

  • Experience working within Safety and Compliance Program Areas (i.e. Damage Prevention, Public Awareness, etc.).

  • Ability to observe and engage with employees, leadership and contract partners.

  • Investigation/RCA with tools such as TapRoot, Cause Mapping, Fishbone, Five whys, etc.

  • Skilled in analyzing and interpreting data to identify trends utilizing tools such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerBI, SAS, etc.

  • Ability to interact with customers and members of the public in a pleasant and tactful manner.

  • Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required.
