The Duke Energy Florida, Hines Energy Complex, located in Bartow, Florida is seeking an administrative assistant to support all work groups across our energy complex. This position is primarily responsible for station employee time entry, employee training record compliance and invoice processing. Additional responsibilities include coordinating visitors to the site and meetings, maintaining calendars, making travel arrangements, and tracking expenses. Incumbents will provide support in preparing correspondence, reports, agendas, etc, as needed. This position is an entry level position. Individuals hired into this entry level position may be eligible to progress to higher levels within the job hierarchy after meeting satisfactory performance levels, possessing skills, competencies and years of experience required of the levels within the job hierarchy.
- High School Diploma or GED
0-3 years related experience
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office suite applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
Effective oral and written communications skills.
Ability to effectively interface with multiple levels across a department, e.g. managers, supervisors, employees.
3 years previous related experience
Performs work in normal office environment.
Position is located in an office environment and located at the site of a generating plant
Prolonged sitting at desk/computer
May be required to travel for training and/or assistance at other sites and may be required to work overtime.
May be required to provide assistance in multiple areas as needed
