Expected salary range of $140,400 to $156,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Partner with IT and business teams to provide the necessary leadership to drive cloud-based technology solutions by weighing advantages of technology standards, market availability of products, and risks and benefits of technology introduction into Constellation's cloud computing environment. Provide comprehensive consultation to business unit and IT management and staff at the highest technical level for assigned architectural domain. Operates independently with little or no supervision.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide technical expertise to IT and business teams to identify cloud technology solutions and strategies to achieve business results. Ensure appropriate implementation of technology within both the production and non-production environments.

  • Perform engineering and design functions for cloud-based software applications and infrastructure in support of the corporate-wide strategic information technology plan; oversee the introduction of new technology into the operations environment by utilizing Constellation's standard governance processes.

  • Provide technical leadership on key initiatives and programs driven by program complexity and business criticality where dedicated technical leadership is required at an advanced level.

  • Create research and development strategies vetting efficiency, performance, and cost of proposed solutions based on business requirements. Focus on engagement with key vendors, business impacting innovation opportunities, and alignment with technological road maps in partnership with Constellation Architecture organization to ensure proposed solutions map to overall organization strategy.

  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business and IT partners. Communicate status to key stakeholders and leadership on a regular basis. This includes engagement with Constellation Architecture and Operations organizations to consult and provide guidance on cloud-based solutions with focus on successful business outcomes and speed to deliver.

  • Maintain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise, evaluate new technologies or technology opportunities, and provide analysis of their potential impact to advantage the business.

  • Provide coaching/ mentorship for IT personnel. Participate in career development and recognition activities. Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and foster teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. - 8 to 10 years in solid, diverse experience in IT, with a focus in engineering and advanced troubleshooting within cloud Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service, and Software as a Service, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. - Demonstrated technical skills in enterprise-class cloud service provider technologies and services, including Azure. - Knowledge of business practices, processes, and applications relevant to role supporting power generation and related businesses along with corporate functions. - Comprehensive understanding of organizational change management techniques associated with new technology implementation. - Experience producing an economic business case. - Demonstrate leadership ability. - Proven capacity to work independently and manage multiple competing demands.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-6 Years of Microsoft Azure Platform experience with consultation, solution architecture, and platform architecture, skillsets.

  • 3-5 Years of Platform As A Service experience designing, consulting, and implementing, Tenant level or subscription level solutions for enterprise consumption.

  • 3-5 Years experience socializing and interoperating Microsoft Azure Billing frameworks and components.

  • 1-3 Years experience with Oracle Cloud infrastructure design, consulting, and implementation for enterprise consumption.

  • 1-3 Years experience creating, using, and troubleshooting, Powershell scripts.

  • 1-3 years experience working to administer, support, or maintain, Operating Systems on cloud infrastructure such as Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and/or Oracle Linux.
