Expected salary range of, $132,00-$147,000 varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Commercial Data Specialist will leverage their knowledge of Constellation’s energy trading and risk management (ETRM) platform, our commercial business, and the quantitative modeling of commercial transactions to ensure proper representation of retail and wholesale deals within the ETRM solution.
This knowledge will allow the specialist to: (1) support the development / enhancement of interfaces with the ETRM solution, ensuring the proper representation and interpretation of the transactional data across the platform, (2) trouble-shoot deal modeling & reporting problems which arise during daily operation of the ETRM platform, (3) support the development / enhancement of reports coming from the ETRM solution, and, (4) support the booking and quantitative modeling of complex transactions in the ETRM solution and the Analytical Modeling Platform (AMP).
The Specialist will consult with many teams responsible for quantitative modeling, daily booking and reporting of commercial transactions within the ETRM solution, including functional groups such as Trade Control, Trading, Origination, Pricing & Structuring and Portfolio Management and numerous cross functional teams such as the AMP, Front Office, and Commercial Platform Integration teams. The Specialist may function as a subject matter expert or lead business analyst on projects being executed by these teams.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support daily triage of position reports and suspected problems
Function as subject matter expert and business analyst on development projects
Book modeling trades
Lead cross functional teams through root cause analysis & solutioning
Develop reports & analyze data
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree in economics, finance, accounting, information systems, business administration or equivalent.
7-10 years' experience as a quantitative analyst in an energy trading business modeling complex power, gas and environmental transactions.
In depth knowledge of retail and wholesale commercial systems architecture and associated business processes.
Experience in meeting facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior energy industry experience
Familiarity with enterprise trading and risk management (ETRM) systems and associated functionality
Experience working with and/or modeling complex power, gas and environmental transactions
