Your Impact at SAM
The Office Lead/Survey Project Manager role isinstrumental in ensuring the success and growth of our survey projects, driving excellence in service delivery, and fostering enduring client partnerships while also leading the charge in maintaining an efficient and productive office environment. This role will spearhead the management and reporting of budgets and resource allocation, serving as the primary liaison between SAM and our clients. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of field and office staff across various land survey projects, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery of project milestones. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading land survey projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and client requirements
Playing a pivotal role in planning and implementing procedures to enhance operational efficiency
Crafting and managing proposals, budgets, schedules, invoices, and contracts
Authorizing and validating plats, field notes, and control drawings as necessary
Strategizing work plans and staffing needs for multiple survey projects
Engaging in business development endeavors and nurturing client relationships
Delivering compelling presentations to clients and key stakeholders
Facilitating smooth communication with sub-consultants and other business partners
Providing assistance to other operational units as required
Maintaining transparent financial reporting, including AR/WIP and billing cycles
Advocating for company interests during meetings and industry events
Undertaking additional responsibilities to advance the Company's strategic objectives
What You Bring to SAM
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline/and or equivalent experience
Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large scale projects
Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack, MS Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members
Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team
Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly
Ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others
Professional License, or ability to obtain quickly preferred
