National Grid Senior Analyst, HVDC Electric Control Centre Operations in Ayer, Massachusetts

Job Purpose

The successful candidate will work with all members of the HVDC team, ensuring that all finance and inventory tasks are handled in a timely and professional mannerand contribute to the HVDC 2000MW interconnection operation.

Key Accountabilities

⦁ Responsible for processing all invoices and payments to vendors using SAP procedures and controls

⦁ Responsible for ordering spare parts and stock to support the daily operation of the facility, including inventory tracking and audits

⦁ Support the HVDC operation in all finance, budgets and inventory matters

⦁ Work closely with Ngrid finance team on monthly budget analysis, budget planning and accrual reporting

⦁ Support the HVDC director and staff on the daily operation of the facility

⦁ Monitor operational practices for compliance with regulations, laws and company policies

⦁ Prepare/execute company communications for internal and external customers

⦁ Manage the daily work flow of the group's operational processes

⦁ Develop and maintain analytical systems, models and procedures in order to support design solutions and enhance time / consistency / safety / efficiency and operability.

⦁ Monitor and review financial information, updating where necessary in order to identify any anomalies or discrepancies and ensure management has access to up to date and accurate information

⦁ Independently collate and analyze work unit and/or financial data within one or multiple areas using pre-determined tools, methods and formats in order to support the department's decision-making process

⦁ Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to improve efficiencies within assigned area

⦁ Prepare/execute company communications for internal and external customer

⦁ Prepare reports in MS-Word, MS-Excel, and/or MS-PowerPoint

⦁ Write and execute data queries

⦁ Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders in order to share best practices and provide technical advice and build bases of Influence

⦁ Other duties as assigned

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
Qualifications

⦁ Associate's degree or higher is preferred, or equivalent experience in a related field.

⦁ Experience in the utility or energy industry is a plus.

⦁ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

⦁ Moderate to advanced knowledge of SAP and MS-Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).

⦁ Experience and proficiency in relevant company related IT systems.

⦁ Demonstrated ability to adapt to change, including learning new software applications.

⦁ Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and analysis.

⦁ Demonstrated dependability and professional interpersonal awareness.

⦁ Demonstrated ability to make decisions, motivate others, and work independently.

⦁ Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking and predictive analysis.
