Specialized Systems Analyst (Atlanta or Birmingham)
This position will be filled from an IT Infrastructure Analyst I to an IT Infrastructure Analyst, Sr. depending upon the qualifications of the successful candidate.
The Specialized Systems Analyst is responsible for systems administration and support as well as ensuring regulatory compliance for Southern Company Operational Technology (OT) systems.
General Job Responsibilities
Responsible for administration and support of a Windows Environment for Operations Technology (OT) applications.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for OT systems, e.g. NERC CIP Cybersecurity standards. Responsibilities include implementing controls, establishing procedures, evidence documentation and audit preparation.
Responsible for coordinating supplemental engineering service providers and/or contractors working on OT Systems related projects
Responsible for providing support to the Operational Technology groups on issues related to systems planning, engineering design, and engineering consulting.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Workstation and Windows Domain Administration is required.
Understanding of basic networking concepts including DNS, DHCP and functionality of switches and routers
Experience in installation of multiple server roles, e.g. SQL Server, Remote Desktop Services, Internet Information Server would be a plus
Knowledge of Windows Patch Management tools, e.g. Microsoft SCCM would be a plus
Knowledge of Server Management systems, e.g. Microsoft SCOM would be a plus
Knowledge of VMware Administration and Support would be a plus
Knowledge of Citrix Administration and Support would be a plus
Knowledge of Linux Server Administration and Support would be a plus
Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting would be a plus
Experience with NERC CIP Cyber Security Compliance would be a plus
General Understanding of Real-Time SCADA systems would be a plus
Knowledge of Electric Power Delivery business and applications would be a plus
General Understanding of Budgets and/or Capable of Learning about Budgeting (capital and functional) and accounting processes to ensure compliance with the budget.
Demonstrated personal computer skills (i.e. Word, Excel, Visio, etc.)

Education / Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (preferred); Computer Science, MIS, or technical degree in Computer Science or related technology is acceptable.
Microsoft certifications are a plus
