JOB SUMMARY:

As a member of the Fleet Operations Team, the Fleet Operations Manager will provide fleet operations and management support through administration and reporting as well as program and project management to Corporate and Business Unit stakeholders. Contributions will include analysis, development, implementation, and documentation of fleet initiatives, KPI’s and business processes .

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support multiple initiatives that are new to the organization or improve existing processes and systems that enable effective, efficient fleet operations

  • Transform data into information, information into insights and insights into value creation

  • Work with teams to standardize and enhance enterprise policies, processes and systems to further enable efficient and effective fleet operations. Assist in the creation, implementation and maintenance of process and system documentation.

  • Compose, compile, prepare, review and present various reports, correspondence and documents of findings and results; maintain related records and files for retention and compliance purposes

  • Through quantitative analysis and KPI development produce reporting at the corporate level on fleet utilization and optimization.

  • Ensure process integrity, test system changes, define reports and analyze data flows for process improvement opportunities

  • Use understanding of system design, interdependencies and data flow to resolve problems and troubleshoot issues. Work with technical resources to design, develop, test, and implement solutions

  • Review trend data for comparison and investigate abnormalities

  • Promote safety awareness by consistently presenting a professional attitude through building positive relationships within the business units, courtesy, and a general concern for safety rules

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience required, preferably in analytics, logistics, business or other STEM field of study

  • 5+ years of business operations experience required

  • Experience in the Utility and/or construction business is preferred

  • Strong interpersonal skills including written and oral communications

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment, multi-task and support multiple projects

  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Power Point, Excel, and other productivity tools; data analytics experience and tool usage preferred (i.e. Tableau)

  • Experience with PowerBI a plus
