This position is primarily responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to: modeling and engineering distribution capital, O&M, Distribution Automation (DA), and Network Underground Services (NUS) projects in GE Energy Management Systems (DSCADA); support LTE conversion projects and respond to customer requests in real-time. This position is also responsible for modeling and engineering transmission capital and O&M projects in Siemens Spectrum Energy Management Systems (EMS). Additionally, this position must balance multiple priorities and coordinate work with various groups within and outside of the Power Delivery organization. This position is located in Atlanta (currently Virginia Avenue near downtown but in 2019, it will be relocated to Douglas County near Lithia Springs).
Model distribution capital, O&M, DA, NUS and LTE conversion projects in DSCADA for GPC and ITS participants.
Model transmission capital, O&M, and LTE conversion projects in EMS for GPC and ITS participants.
Support ongoing modeling and commissioning projects with field engineers, DA, NUS, Transmission Control Center (TCC), and Distribution Control Center(s) (DCCs).
Respond in real-time to various customer requests from TCC, DCCs, field, NUS, etc.
Provide backup assistance to Operations Support Communications team.
Bachelor or Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree preferred
Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering degree a plus
Proficiency with GE and/or Siemens Energy Management System (EMS) is preferred
Experience with SCADA systems is a plus
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge of any SCADA Hardware systems is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple items/tasks simultaneously
Effective oral and written communications skills
Ability to obtain Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) and Insider Threat Program (ITP) security clearance is required
