Description
Job Summary
This position will provide hands on project controls services, focused on schedule development, maintenance, and reporting for large scale, high-value infrastructure improvement programs, which may include natural gas pipeline replacement projects and/or gas operations infrastructure upgrades. The Project Controls Scheduler will utilize experience and leadership skills to provide schedule management and control for capital projects.
This position will work closely with the project/program managers and project track leads to establish the baseline project schedule, integrate external schedules, maintain accurate updates, provide schedule resource management, schedule risk analysis, and schedule progress reporting.
Functional Expertise:
Serves as the Project Controls Scheduler for large scale capital programs and projects.
Responsible for schedule development, risk analysis, maintenance, and progress reporting.
Responsible for schedule resource management.
Demonstrates the ability to apply critical and/or complex knowledge to strategic project issues.
Demonstrates knowledge of Primavera scheduling software
Demonstrates knowledge of earned value management
Works closely with the Project Controls Analyst to development the project master forecast and cashflows
Interface with project track leads and monitors project progress and commitments to ensure schedules are updated and progress reported
Qualifications:
Education, Certifications/Licenses:
- Preferred: Accredited Bachelor’s degree
Related Work Experience:
Required: 5-10 years’ experience using Primavera scheduling software to support capital projects
Preferred: Experienced in schedule development, maintenance, and resource management in Primavera; knowledge of earned value management
Preferred: Experience in energy sector, especially natural gas/pipelines, natural gas storage, or process plant development
