Position Specific Description NextEra Energy is seeking an experienced individual to be part of the FPL Power Generation team responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of large scale universal solar & battery storage facilities inside the state of Florida. This position will report to a Solar & Storage West Region Engineering Leader, under the Power Generation Team, and will normally work within an area covering the Manatee, Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Hendry, Desoto, and Hardee counties. Region operations is centralized out of the Operations Center in Arcadia. Under limited guidance, the individual will perform a variety of routine tasks involving the operations and maintenance of their assigned site(s) and others within the region’s territory. Engineers on the FPL solar & storage team can spend a significant amount of time in the field troubleshooting and repairing equipment at solar & storage facilities to ensure that our assets are operating at peak efficiency continuing NextEra’s worldwide leadership in renewable technology. Successful candidates are also expected to assist in managing stores, tracking site reliability & performance metrics, as well as executing on quality improvement initiatives. Personnel in the operations team regularly work with Fleet Team personnel to develop lessons learned and solve complex problems that impact assets nation-wide. The successful candidate should be highly motivated with a strong bias for action and capable of working independently as well as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering highly preferred.

*Within the first three months it is expected that the individual will divide their time between on the job training at facilities within the West Region facilities and business unit specific safety & process training in DeSoto County
