Supervisor- Identity & Access Management

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Leads and oversees a team that drives a variety of IAM initiatives, analyze and solve complex problems and make recommendations for how to advance PPL’s security profile.

  2. Works independently with guidance from leadership to grow the team’s strengths and capabilities, mentoring them on a daily basis to new heights of excellence.

  3. Partners with stakeholders to identify and document their access requirements and propose solutions which include application integration and automation wherever securely possible.

  4. Actively maintains a presence in the cybersecurity community via participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

  5. If applicable, in-person supervision of employees to ensure compliance with FLSA wage and hour issues as well as to monitor compliance with safety rules.

  6. Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

  7. May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

Position Summary:

The Supervisor- IAM (Identity and Access Management) has first-line supervisory responsibility for the IAM team who supports, implements and manages all processes and projects related to IAM.

The Supervisor- IAM (Identity and Access Management) has a strong background in identity and access management, and understands not only the technology, but also the need for coordination between IAM, business, and regulatory requirements and is passionate about identifying solutions to successfully implement them collaboratively.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree and 3 years of related work experience.

  2. Experience coordinating project team activities and schedules, including identifying and engaging necessary resources and stakeholders.

  3. Experience mentoring and directly leading individual contributors, such as engineers, analysts or junior analysts.

  4. Demonstrated understanding of RBAC Authorization models, Enterprise SSO, Federation, Privilege User Management, Authentication Methods, Entitlement Management, Delegated Administration, as well as the full scope of user account provisioning and lifecycle.

  5. Understanding of the components necessary to implement and maintain a successful enterprise IAM program and a willingness to champion those requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree in related technical discipline or MBA.

  2. Experience with applying best practice frameworks such as NIST 800 series, ISO 27000 series, ISA, COBIT, NERC CIP, SOX or PCI to develop security policies, standards, and guidelines.

  3. Experience in developing and implementing IT governance practices and processes.

  4. Experience representing or presenting externally at industry events and demonstrating a track record of internal influence for ongoing transformation in cybersecurity identity and access management implementation and practices within the broader cybersecurity community.

  5. NERC CIP Compliance Analysis Certification, System Operator Certification, or GIAC Critical Infrastructure Protection Security Certification (GCIP).

  6. Hands-on experience with CyberArk Application Identity Manager and Enterprise Password Vault.

  7. Hands-on automation and scripting experience.
