Overview
Responsible for business operations project management activities throughout the project life cycle including needs analysis, business case development, project discovery, change management, project planning and implementation. The Project Manager must have an innovative mindset and be capable of managing and influencing subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure projects deliver positive business value, along with meeting scope, schedule, cost and quality objectives.
Responsibilities
This job requires knowledge in project management and use of project management tools. - Project team identification and ongoing management:
Optimize business process flow to support work efficiencies and improvement.
Works with key stakeholders to develop business requirements for technical solution and validation of results.
Develop and manage the project communication plan
Managing/facilitating team deliverables- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
Responsible for project changes (scope, budget, and schedule)
Proactively identify risk and mitigation plans, monitor project status, recognize negative trends and coordinates corrective action
Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among co-workers and other stakeholders (on an as-needed basis).
May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule
Qualifications
Basic Qualifiations
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of project management experience or master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of project management experience or a minimum of 8 years of specific related experience
Strong skill set around budgeting and reporting
Familiar with utility related technologies
Strong written, oral, presentation and organizational skills
Preferred Qualificaitons
Master's degree
Project management certification by a recognized organization such as the Project Management Institute
Change management experience
Clear understanding of project management methodology as outlined by the Project Management Institute's Project Manager Book of Knowledge (PMBOK)
