Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Provide leadership and support for the development and strategy of both Data Analytics and Lean Improvements to drive the T&D (Transmission & Distribution Operations) business towards an industry leading position.

  2. Deliver value to both the shareholders and customers through execution of projects that dramatically impact the operations and results of the business.

  3. Execute development, resourcing and technical strategies to drive first quartile results.

  4. Ensure process improvement is driven within the organization to maintain efficiency and quality. This is achieved by evaluating current business practices and looking for ways to improve productivity, reduce costs, and make the best use of business resources.

  5. Support the Leadership Team by providing analytic and Lean approaches to key strategic initiatives, challenging assumptions and increasing analytic rigor.

  6. Expand on current reporting and data visualization strategies and models, applying best practices from across the industry.

  7. Develop and strengthen forecasting models, statistical methods and automation over time.

  8. Develop strong collaborative working relationships with Department Leads to ensure strong delivery of high quality KPIs, metrics, scorecards, and business analytics.

  9. Communicate overall results of business analyses to multiple levels of leadership across all mediums (written, oral, presentations, etc.).

  10. Demonstrate ability to understand business problems and design solutions that meet stakeholder needs.

  11. In-person supervision of employees to ensure compliance with FLSA wage and hour issues as well to monitor compliance with safety rules.

  12. Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

This leader will be responsible for defining/extending our strategy for both data analytics and lean process improvements to ensure that operations can maximize performance against targets. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that utilize emerging methods and practices within the field of data analytics and ensuring that the right data is being leveraged to make informed business decisions. Additionally, this leader will be responsible for driving operational process improvements and efficiency where needed within the business. Critical to the success of this position is the leader's ability to build high-performing teams and stay rooted in business value while staying close to the process, structural evolutions and end-user needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Statistics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Data Science or Process improvement

  2. Minimum of 2 years of people management experience, preferably operational management

  3. High level of interpersonal (including communication, negotiation, presentation), leadership and team-building skills

  4. Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks concurrently
