Primary Responsibilities:

1.Provide direction to manage cash effectively and ensure adequate liquidity for Corporation.

  1. Manage a team responsible for setting the daily cash position, handling bank system administration and cash forecasting.

3.Direct and manage the design, implementation and monitoring of transactional control processes, procedures and systems for all cash management activities to ensure the integrity of all cash transactions. This also includes ensuring that appropriate business continuity plans and procedures are defined and implemented for Cash Management.

  1. Direct and manage the identification, definition, design and implementation of significant process improvements using appropriate enabling technologies for the purpose of reducing operational costs and improving transactional control efficiency.

  2. Identify opportunities to develop staff personnel in supervisory and non-supervisory staff positions for future leadership roles within PPL. Also, help ensure that a motivating work environment is maintained to optimize employee productivity and satisfaction.

  3. Oversee the performance of ongoing risks assessments to help ensure that transactional cash controls continue to evolve with the risks presented by the marketplace. This includes staying abreast of evolving fraud activity in the marketplace and ensuring that controls remain effective for this risk.

  4. Oversee the process for ensuring that all cash-related regulatory and legal requirements are met. This includes ensuring that all SOX-related activities are performed effectively.

Position Summary:

Direct and manage cash settlement activities to meet the following objectives:

1) Ensure all cash transaction activities are performed accurately and within the settlement terms provided by the various front office business lines. This includes cash disbursement and cash receipt cash activity for all employees, customers, investors and counter-parties.

2) Ensure all cash activity is accurately recorded in detailed ledgers and booked in the general ledger, including ensuring that all SOX compliance activities in support of this operation are successfully performed.

3) Identify and implement significant process and enabling technology process improvements to improve the efficiency of operations and streamline transaction process controls.

4) Identify and help enable developmental opportunities for Cash Operations staff.

Candidate Qualifications:

Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration.

Additional Requirements:

  1. CPAorCTP.

  2. Minimum five years’ supervisory experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. BA or BS in a business-related discipline (management, accounting, finance, etc) and five years related experience.

  2. Leadership, management skills (including experience working with the bargaining unit).

  3. Strong teamwork, process-orientation, and customer service focus with ability maintain a strong conviction for control and policy enforcement under difficult circumstances with tactfulness.

  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  5. Broad knowledge of cash operations and related systems, processes, regulations, and policies.

  6. Ability to understand, design and implement effective control models and designs.

  7. Working understanding of systems and technologies supporting the business processes and functions.

  8. Understanding of internal control and auditing practices and methodologies.

  9. Familiarity with general accounting practices and concepts.
