Director- Accounting & Financial Reporting
Provide leadership to the financial accounting, fixed asset accounting and reporting functions.
Develop high performing staff and identify emerging talent that can progress in the Company in increasing levels of responsibility.
Provide support to EU Operations department heads, staff and field personnel as needed in the analysis of actual financial results.
Work with leadership to identify and achieve financial goals of PPL Electric Utilities.
Work cross-functionally with operational, regulatory and financial teams on data requests or testimony support to back up company regulatory initiatives, and provide recommendations on cost recovery and rate strategies.
Work with the PPL Corp Financial leadership as representative of PPL Electric Utilities to ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards.
Ensure that financial transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP, regulatory compliance, corporate policies and procedures, and SOX internal control requirements.
Responsible for internal and external financial and regulatory reporting, including SEC, PUC, FERC, EIA and EPA compliance reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely implementation of new accounting standards and other technical issues.
In-person supervision of employees to ensure compliance with FLSA wage and hour issues as well as to monitor compliance with safety rules.
Physical presence in the office/on-site to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.
May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.
Director, Accounting & Financial Reporting is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting requirements for PPL Electric Utilities and PPL Electric Utilities Services Corp. Individual is accountable for the accuracy of the Companies' books and records in compliance with GAAP accounting and adherence to the FERC Uniform System of Accounts. The individual is also responsible for internal and external financial reporting including preparation of SEC filings and other regulatory reports and acts as the liaison for PPL Electric with the external auditors. This individual is a key member of the Financial and Regulatory Affairs leadership team providing guidance on all PPL Electric initiatives and strategies.
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications and pass all required tests or assessments to receive consideration.
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility form upon hire.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
MBA, CPA, CMA or other professional designation.
10 years of financial supervisory experience, part of which was leading a group of professionals in the GAAP accounting, SEC reporting or financial analysis functions.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Regular or Temporary:
1.15 years of financial supervisory experience in the electric utility industry involving leadership of GAAP accounting, SEC reporting or financial analysis functions.
5 years of regulatory/ratemaking experience.
Knowledge of PowerPlant, BMI PeopleSoft and Microstrategy and Hyperion Financial Management.
Demonstrated capabilities to work as a member of senior management.
