Overview

Associate Product Analyst :

The Product Analyst is a member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Sprint Backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the Features or components for the team.

The Product Analyst plays a dynamic role responsible for supporting the Product Manager and/or the Product Team Leader both in product analysis as well as backlog execution. The Product Analyst will be aligned with the Product Manager and / or Product Team Leader in execution of the product vision and roadmap, and how it translates into user stories. In the analysis realm, the Product Analyst works with various SME’s to determine business processes and logic, impact assessment, feature breakdown and prioritization.

The Associate level uses established procedures under immediate guidance and instruction from Team Leader or more senior level Product Analysts.

Intermediate Product Analyst :

Senior Product Analyst :

Responsibilities

Associate Product Analyst:

  1. Develops, refines, and documents requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria for prioritized feature development.

  2. Advocates a customer centric mindset through closely partnering with the Design team to pull in relevant data and assisting in synthesis which the team can easily digest.

  3. Serve as the day-to-day contact for the team on clarification of requirements and drives backlog grooming on recurring basis.

  4. Participates in daily scrum with the dev team and scrum master.

  5. Supports the product lead and/or product manager in executing and delivering on product roadmap commitments.

  6. Assist with system design in partnership with Engineering teams ensuring the design meets the business needs and user experience.

  7. Perform necessary backlog maintenance, such as identifying stories and define them for ready for work.

  8. Stay in sync with the product lead and/or product manager on priorities and day to day execution.

  9. Support the product lead and/or product managers in collaborating with cross functional teams and leadership, to ensure team strategy aligns with overall product vision.

  10. Prepare and support the team on product demos for leadership team.

  11. Supports release planning for production ready customer features.

  12. Facilitates meetings with Business, Design, Dev Team, and other events as needed.

  13. Supports product testing activities prior to release, assuring we built what aligns to agreed features and capabilities.

  14. Assists in setting, gathering, and tracking product performance metrics.

  15. Collaborate with business stakeholders and tech organization on innovative technology initiatives that create business value either through growth opportunities or operational improvements.

  16. May be assigned an Electric Utilities emergency and storm role. This is a special assignment that comes into play during storms and other emergencies when the company needs to restore power or respond to other issues affecting customer service. This role may necessitate the need to work after-hours, outside of your normal schedule.

  17. The company reserves the right to determine if this position will be assigned to work on-site, remotely, or a combination of both. Assigned work location may change. In the case of remote work, physical presence in the office/on-site may be required to engage in face-to-face interaction and coordination of work among direct reports and co-workers.

  4. Strong problem solving and analytics skills to be able to develop technology solutions that solve business problems quickly.

  5. Ability to collaborate with internal and external agile teams to unblock critical issues during product development.

  6. Knowledge and expertise across multiple spectrums of large-scale business operations, preferably in the Utility Sector
