The selected candidate will be responsible for providing operational and technical leadership in support of the Grid Data Center Operations supporting a broad range of technical areas including servers, storage, data center infrastructure, networks, cabling, and logistics. Additionally, you will be responsible for the operations in the support, maintenance, deployment, upgrade and optimization of infrastructure. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities, while maintaining availability and uptime.
Plans,develops, and implement strategies in support of monitoring, maintainingreliability, availability, security, and quality of the overall infrastructuresupporting the Power Systems Control.
Activelymanages the provisioning of users across relevant platforms andapplications. Coordinates resources tomanage patching and administration of operating systems. Including NERC-CIP compliance controls andevidence. Manages client communications and coordinates resolution ofoperational events and problems.Contributes to and maintains accountability to maximize availability ofthe Control System to the client.
Fosterspartnerships with clients/vendors and manages strategic relationships with keyIT product and service providers. Develops relationships that promote trust andincrease efficiency and effectiveness. Balances individual client needs withbusiness priorities ensuring alignment with business strategies and objectives.
Developslong-term plans for power systems controls/SCADA systems and equipmentrequirements necessary to enable future smart grid technologies. Developslong-term forecasts for capital and O&M budgets which contribute tomaintaining and enhancing company-wide SCADA systems as well as testimony forthe General Rate Case (GRC). Ensures budget is monitored monthly and compliancereporting is maintained. Manages IT resource requirements to ensure appropriatebalance between tactical and strategic demands.
Five or more years of experience leading ateam, unit, or department supporting IT Data Center Infrastructure
Two or more years of experience with supportingSupervisory Controls and Data Acquisition Infrastructure (SCADA)
Must have valid U.S. Drivers License
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination ofeducation, training and experience
5 years of experience in managing a PowerSystems Control group
Knowledge of Information TechnologyInfrastructure Library (ITIL) practices, processes and principles
3 years of experience in a regulated utilityenvironment
Candidates for this position must be legally authorized to workdirectly as employees for any employer in the United States without visasponsorship.
