Cleco IT Systems Analyst II (Mobility) in Alexandria, Louisiana

Role Summary
The IT Systems Analyst II (Mobility) is an experienced professional who participates in detailed analysis, program design and development, documentation, testing, implementation and maintenance of Cleco’s mobility environment. Plans and develops recommended designs and enhancements to existing mobility systems to increase the benefit and better meet the needs of the business. Coordinates closely with the communications and equipment vendors supplying the company’s mobility needs and other areas of the Digital Technology department to provide a stable and dependable mobility environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supports manager in meeting business needs with the mobility environment
Assist clients with questions and provide support related to the mobility technology
Coordinate with mobility hardware/software vendors and other IT sections to analyze and resolve mobility issues and incidents
Work very closely with the Network and Telecommunication teams.
Provide technical support to others concerning the mobility environment’s functionality and design
Maintain the mobility environment according to approved client requirements and IT standards and procedures
Evaluate reported mobility laptop and tablet hardware issues and coordinate vendor repairs when needed
Serve as administrator for the web portals required to support the mobility environment
Coordinate with the local 911 Emergency Center in emergency situations to ensure priority access to the cell network (FirstNet)
Develop and maintain documentation related to the processes and procedures supporting the mobility environment and its day to day operation
Research technical mobility solutions to business problems
Research new technologies and determine their applicability to the company’s mobility environment
Build and maintain knowledge of industry and technology trends in support of the company’s mobility environment
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
3-5+ years of related experience
Strong business acumen pertaining to the mobility solutions in the utility industry
Strong knowledge of leading practices for mobility systems
Strong planning and project management skills
Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities
Willingness and ability to research and dig deeper to learn new technologies on the job
Proficient at functioning effectively within a team environment, present ideas and opinions in a respective and collegial manner
Knowledge of current Windows operating systems
Knowledge of IP networking and other network principles
Basic hardware troubleshooting skills
Preferred: Experience working with LTE data networks
Preferred: Hardware diagnosis and troubleshooting experience
Plus: Knowledge of RF technology
