About the Opportunity

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]

The Third-Party Risk Analyst is a member of the newly created Solutions and Standards team within the Supply Chain organization. The Solutions and Standards team is a Center of Excellence organization which drives continuous improvement and mitigates risk across Supply Chain and FirstEnergy. This analyst will be a part of the on-boarding, analysis, and on-going monitoring of third-party under the third-party risk management program. Will follow established guidelines to identify and resolve problems and will use some independence of thought but is expected to refer more complex problems to supervisors or other experts

This position can be sited at any location within the FirstEnergy service territory. (OH, PA, WV, NJ & MD)

Responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and developing strategies for third-party risk management across the organization

  • Ensuring all required information and supporting documentation are captured for new and existing third-party going through a triggering event or material change by coordinating with internal business units

  • Coordinating with business units to initiate renewals of due diligence

  • Drafting due diligence findings and reporting recommendations for controls and monitoring

  • Validating resubmitted documents and updates system accordingly as needed

  • Tracking onboarding requests, re-assesses pipeline, and manages assignments as necessary.

  • Monitoring, researching, analyzing, and addressing all essential compliance activities

  • Coordinating directly with other areas of the organization to obtain relevant FirstEnergy requirements (i.e. Risk, Legal, Cyber Security, Information Security, etc.)

  • Promptly responding to queries and assists with problem-solving of matters received from internal personnel

  • Implementing process improvement to create efficiencies.

  • Informing management on status of cases and proactively identifies and flags issues.

  • May be accountable for regular and ad hoc reporting

  • Performing special projects as required and any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, education or a related discipline is required and 7-10 years’ related work experience.

  • In lieu of a degree, 10 years of related experience required. Related work experience includes previous third-party risk analysis and management. Certification for Risk Professional a plus.
