About the Opportunity
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [SC00]
The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. This option is not available in the states of California, Colorado, Illinois, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon or Washington at this time.
This position is responsible for assessing business processes to determine suitability for automation, creating documentation and liaising with business units to ensure the automation solution accurately solves the business need. The individual should have a deep passion for innovation.
Collaborate with Business units to identify opportunities for automation.
Educate business units on the automation team’s capabilities and technologies, as well as potential uses of automation.
Determine the feasibility of automation opportunities.
Collaborate with business units on business case creation, including estimates for the value of the solution, cost to achieve, and implementation effort.
Update or develop detailed process documentation required for development.
Gather solution requirements, then collaborate with developers on solution design.
Serve as a translator between automation developers and business process SMEs.
Support the development team by facilitating system access and hardware build requests, facilitating user acceptance testing, and assisting with sprint reviews.
Assist the business with change management, including the development of training documentation and delivery to end users.
Maintain process assessment standards with an eye for continuous improvement.
Work within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues accordingly.
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience required. In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience required.
Relevant work experience will include experience analyzing and assessing business processes.
Experience in business analysis, scoping business requirements, and identifying scope change and system impacts.
Experience documenting use case requirements, entity relationship diagrams, process decomposition diagrams, and workflows.
Experience identifying, assessing, and documenting processes for automation is preferred.
Experience with automation and RPA platforms is a plus, Automation Anywhere and Microsoft Power Apps/Power Automate preferred.
Strong solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
Experience providing customer-focused support, both internally and externally.
Experience in building positive relationships and working with peers cross-functionally, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration.
Ability to appropriately manage conflict and work through difficult situations as needed.
Utility industry experience is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio).
Good communication skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical audience.
Experience working within Agile methodologies is preferred.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
