Eversource Energy Energy Efficiency New Construction Co-Op in Westwood, Massachusetts

Job Description Summary:

Location: Westwood (accessible by public transportation)

Duration: Jan-June 2018

Schedule: M-F, 40 hours per week

Scope of Work/Project:

New Construction C&I Roles

Co-ops will assist the Program Managers in the processing of new construction energy efficiency strategies. Program Managers and co-ops serve as the single point-source for specific energy efficiency projects and are responsible for all aspects of implementation planning, delivery, customer service, vendor management and financials. Co-op will be exposed to broad based energy efficiency/green energy technology and programs. Co-op will assist with business development, research and application processes.

Duties may include:

  • Processing Energy Efficiency MassSave applications
  • Review mechanical and electrical plans of specific building or site and identifying energy conservations measures
  • Attend meetings of property owners, Engineers and Architect firms
  • Follow up on meeting action items
  • Obtain any missing customer information to allow the project to proceed
  • Research new energy efficiency technologies supporting the MassSave Technical Assessment Committee

EnergyLink Role

EnergyLink is energy management service that Eversource provides to its commercial and industrial customers.

Co-ops will support Program Manager in various duties such as:

  • Analyzing energy consumption data
  • Supporting customer equipment and/or software
  • Support program manager in marketing of the product
  • Attend meeting with property owners
  • Validate proper EnergyLink software operation

Federal Market Sector Role

Co-ops will assist in implementing energy conservation measures in the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) projects. Duties may include attending meetings with the GSA team, reviewing the Energy Efficiency Technical Audit reports, and overseeing planning/implementation.

-Independent in performing & figuring out how to accomplish challenging tasks

-Ability to multi-task

-Strong organizational skills

-MS Office skills with emphasis on Word, Excel & Powerpoint

-Student should be working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Systems, or related field
