The Cycle Planner scheduler is responsible for building and maintaining the online cycle plan and work scheduling between refuel outages (Cycle Plan). This includes consolidating all corrective and preventative maintenance, surveillance and post maintenance tests and modification activities bundled within each window. The Cycle Planner scheduler provides the Cycle Manager with the proposed work window schedule each week for the purpose of final work scope and initial activity sequencing per the Work Management Process.
JOB REQUIREMENTS : (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills )
High School Diploma
Personal computer and mainframe knowledge
Must have a minimum of 5 years nuclear power experience with at least 3 years cumulative nuclear industry experience in scheduling management, project management, operations, maintenance, project controls or engineering. Two years cumulative must have been in positions of increasing responsibility.
Intradepartmental communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience with Maximo/P6
Should be knowledgeable of business practices, project management practices, and must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the work management team.
Candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance based on position/access requirements and essential job functions.
Current or previous SRO license or certification
B.S. degree in engineering or scientific discipline; or equivalent related education, training & experience.
Working knowledge of mainframe and PC based scheduling tools.
Knowledge of critical path scheduling method.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for transitioning the site from the cycle plan to the work week schedule from T-16 through T-6. This includes incorporating risk assessments, protected train concepts, management of resources, and maximizing station equipment reliability.
Provide direction and oversight for matrixed personnel involved in the work management process (engineering, maintenance, etc.) to ensure all parties are meeting work management milestones between T-16 and T-6.
Provide oversight to work management scheduling personnel (discipline schedulers, surveillance coordinator, and preventative maintenance coordinator) to ensure a high quality schedule is developed within milestone and budget constraints.
Leads the station through the intermediate term T meeting phases (T-9 and T-6) and ensures the station is successful in regards to maximizing scope stability, scope survival, schedule stability and PM program health.
Continuously strives to improve the work management process and drive site behaviors in regards to meeting milestones. Understands that the T week schedule tool that will ultimately provide the structure and success path for the site during the execution week with a goal of excellence.
