Responsibilities

We have a new opportunity for a Manager, Safety and Health Policy. This role serves as a point of contact and support to EEI members on issues associated with employee health and safety in the electric sector. The incumbent will directly support activities of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) practice area while managing content and logistics for semi-annual OSH conferences. Coordinating special projects and initiatives in collaboration with OSH Committee leadership and the Director, Safety and Health Policy will also be a significant part of this role.

Duties

  • Manage execution of the semi-annual OSH Committee conferences under the direction of the Director, Safety and Health Policy: develop content, manage execution of events (collaborating with support team), gather conference materials; and onsite coordination of speakers, members, and sponsors.

  • Research issues and develop content for monthly community meetings. Summarize key meeting takeaways for distribution to stakeholders.

  • Monitor regulatory issues impacting industry safety and health and coordinate member issue communications. Develop strategies for outreach to increase and maintain member engagement in health and safety initiatives using community sites, surveys, and email campaigns.

  • Coordinate with consultants to manage ongoing

The salary range for this role begins at $79,000. Starting annual salary will be determined on individual qualifications. EEI also offers an annual performance incentive which is prorated for mid-year start dates. This incentive is typically up to 10% of base salary. Office Protocol

This is a hybrid position which requires the incumbent to reside in the District of Columbia metropolitan area and come into the office a minimum of three days each week with two of the mandatory days being Tuesday and Wednesday.
