Description

This position is responsible for both joint venture accounting and tax equity partnerships. Preparation of stand-alone financials and analysis of wind operations required. Provide actual & budget variance analysis for wind assets gross margin and operating expenses. Make monthly accruals for land owner royalties. Prepare monthlycash distributions to investors. Prepare monthly tax equity accounting journal entries. Perform tasks related to internal controls. Keep track of monthly capital spending amounts for tax equity partnership assets. Make monthly accrual & amortization entries for third party OEM contracts. Provide required financial data to other groups (tax, land, structure). Good understanding of asset retirement obligations (ASC 410). Process & manage joint venture accounting (including, but not limited to invoicing, cash clearing, cash forecast, budget, monthly financial, budget vs. actual variance, and debt service ratio calculation).

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience 5+ years’ experience in joint venture accounting Experience with SAP software Strong Excel and other computer application skills Strong analytical skills regarding gross margin/OpEx analysis vs budget Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preference may be given to candidates who have the following:


Merchant energy (wind) background Joint Venture Accounting experience SAP proficiency Good organization and project management skills
