Description

This position is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Career Gas Scheduler will work closely with the natural gas trading group to schedule natural gas transactions daily. These transactions include natural gas purchases and sales, storage transactions and fuel supply for the Company's natural gas fueled generation projects.

Ensuring all scheduling processes including: nominations, confirmations, and trade capture system

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating scheduling processes with pipelines, counterparties, storage and plant operators Monitoring the flow of natural gas via electronic bulletin boards Daily balancing of natural gas receipts and deliveries Coordinating make-up/pay-back schedules with counterparties and pipelines Coordinating with middle and back office personnel on reconciliation of physical imbalances and invoicing

Supporting traders through operational research and communication of operational changes/notices Developing and maintaining relationships with pipeline personnel and counterparties Adhering to internal controls Possibility of working before/after regular office hours including some work on holidays and/or weekends

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of scheduling experience in the natural gas industry Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering or Finance (significant related industry work

Preference may be given to individuals who meet the above requirements and the following:



Proficiency with spreadsheets, electronic bulletin boards and gas scheduling system applications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills Self-directed, motivated, and willing to learn

Pacific NW, Rockies and Western Canada pipeline scheduling experienceCompetency with SunGard Aligne Application (including Zainet & GasOps)
