The forecast analyst will provide expertise in the creation, analysis and interpretation of Short-Long Term Power and Gas Forecasts.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:Operating with Retail, the Forecast Analyst is responsible for producing numerous short-long term forecasts for Retail. Will provide a cost effective and competitive supply of energy for our customers. In this role you will analyze customer and pool consumption trends, weather patterns and drivers, and market trends, and devise and execute models that allow us to deliver energy commodities.

MAIN FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES: The Forecast analys will :

  • Develop energy use and demand forecasts to support resource and operational planning.

  • Assist in delivery of improvements in short and long term power and gas forecasting.

  • Perform analysis of forecast performance and makes recommendations to improve overall forecasting capabilities.

  • Load profiling.

  • Modeling of customer and pool consumption trends, correlations to weather, attrition rates, conservation trends, system losses.

  • Forecasting of customer book runoff and pool demand for remaining term; short term and long term forecasts.

  • Update and manage load forecasts in assigned markets, weekly.

  • Validate assumptions, analyze historical trends in forecast error.

  • Maintain documentation on utility specific information relevant to load forecasting such as Settlement methodology, forecasting, loss factors, load profiles, etc.

  • Work with developers to design new Load Forecasting technical specifications.

  • INTERNAL: Backoffice&operations;, Sales Support,

  • EXTERNAL: Pymes and MEDEM clients, agencies and consultants

Requirements

EDUCATION:-HIGH DEGREE REQUERID

LANGUAGE:-NATIVE ITALIAN SPEAKER, GOOD SPOKEN AND WRITTEN ENGLISH & SPANISH

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of experience in areas related to energy or demand forecasting.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of programming (SQL, EXCEL) to extract information from large volumes of data to improve business decision making.

  • Ability to apply technical concepts and methodologies in developing forecasts and analyses.

  • Ability to keep regulatory quality documentation of study/projects.

OTHER SKILLS:

  • ORGANIZED PERSON WITH FLEXIBILITY AND PROBLEM SOLVING CAPABLITIES. HIGH MOTIVATION AND STRONG SELF-INITIATIVE SKILLS.

  • PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE ON OTHER SALES AREAS IN THE ENERGY SECTOR WILL BE A PLUS.

  • AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE.
