JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

The Director of Planning & Investments for AVANGRID NETWORKS will provide support to the NETWORKS Controller across the Control organization. The job involves frequent interaction and coordination with NETWORKS Accounting, NETWORKS Business Analysis and Performance, AVANGRID Corporate Control and IBERDROLA NETWORKS Control. The position requires a strong specialization in Finance, valuation techniques and excellent understanding of regulatory frameworks.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):

  • Prepare the long term financial projections of NETWORKS for Investor’s, rating agencies presentation and Group consolidation.

  • Update the enterprise valuation based on discounted cash flows for the goodwill assessment both under USGAAP and IFRS and completion of the internal controls related to this process.

  • Supervise the application of the investment standard for NETWORKS to ensure the profitability of new capital projects / rate cases.

  • Analysis of investment targets and deviations compared to the Plan and Dossiers.

  • Provide support in regulatory proceedings and analysis of potential impacts on the financial statements.

  • Support the Controller on the management cycle including annual plan, forecasts, closing, KPIs reporting, internalcontrols, internal and external audit process.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelors’ Degree required with minimum of 10 years relevant work experience in the finance/control area

  • MBA with Finance emphasis preferred

  • Expert knowledge in Finance and enterprise valuation techniques

  • Exposure to IFRS Accounting a plus
