Yard Coordinator/Warehouse Specialist

This position is responsible for assisting with incoming/outgoing shipments and loading/unloading product in an efficient and safe manner utilizing a forklift.
The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but not limited to:
Maintain and promote a strong safety culture for all employees, vendors, and customers and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Communicate with Yard and Equipment Manager, Shop Supervisor, field staff and dispatchers on mobilization of equipment and the incoming loads so it can be inspected.
Plan and execute yard projects.
Maintain appearance of equipment lines in the yard.
Operate a forklift to load or deliver supplies throughout the yard.
Pack and unpack items to be stocked in warehouse and yard. Store items in an efficient and orderly manner, verifying inventory records against physical counts.
Ensure materials and tolling are shipped and delivered in alignment with required schedules. Pack items following all standards and regulations.
Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Complete day to day data entry into appropriate software.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualified candidates must have recent warehouse and/or construction experience as well as a high school diploma or equivalent. A candidates that has 6 months prior warehouse experience and strong organizational skills would be preferred. Basic computer skills are preferred. Applicants must currently carry a valid driver’s license or higher to operate company vehicles. Candidates must demonstrate a mechanical aptitude and hold a forklift certification. Desired candidates will have experience in operating heavy equipment and be familiar with construction tooling.
