This is a multi-level growth series position (Grade Level 26/27). The title and grade level assigned to the successful candidate will be determined by assessing skills and related experience, learned through the interview process, as they meet the criteria defined below.

At the Business Support Specialist Level:

Provide technical and financial expertise and support to PSE&G process owners/engineers relative to Third Party Billing, which includes: billing of recoverable project costs, collections and reconciliations. Create and maintain reports and analytics to monitor all costs and payments against contractual agreements, document the need for Change Orders. Has to be able to work with associates in the divisions and interface with the distribution project managers, engineers, and technicians to understand the individual project components and status. Resolve problems as they arise and function as a liaison between Third Party Billing and internal/external organizations. Record and maintain all relevant financial data in database. Assess potential value of database enhancements for improved prioritization according to business needs.

At the Process Analyst Level:

All of the above as well as:

Play a leadership role in the project interaction and formal understanding of the related components, setup meetings with external and internal counterparts. Lead and facilitate process improvement teams and document processes, procedures and work instructions. Prepare status reports for management, developing appropriate communication materials. Provide technical expertise and support to process owners and department associates. Drive improved user experience and operational results, utilizing leadership skills, data analysis and strong understanding of the business strategies. Foster the refinement, understanding and enhanced utilization of process and procedural measures and benchmarking.

Required – at the Business Support Specialist level:

• BS degree in Business in addition to 3+ plus years’ experience or 7 years equivalent professional experience

• Comprehensive knowledge of Excel, Access, Microsoft Office and FI and CO module in SAP

• Strong organization skills; ability to build and maintain effective partnerships within and across organization.

• Strong analytic capability and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external associates.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity. Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices.

• Familiarity with existing technology offerings, including SAP, Access, Microsoft Office, Visio, DWMS and Excel.

Required at Process Analyst level:

All of the above as well as:

• 5 -10 years’ total relevant work experience

• In-depth knowledge of the Third Party Billing, Collection and relocation cost chargeback processes

• Strong strategic thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills

• Able to prioritize multiple assignments and keep many responsibilities moving forward simultaneously

• Advanced knowledge of Access, Excel, DWMS and FI & CO module of SAP

• Able to provide billing and project creation guidance

• Presentation skills

• Excellent analytical and communication skills and able to convert data into meaningful analytical tools.

• Desirable:

• MBA or other advanced, management courses.
