The Servco Work Control Manager provides leadership and fleet support on overall planning and scheduling of major fossil plant outages. In partnership with station leadership, this position is accountable for planning and scheduling major outages at the fossil plants. For each such outage, this includes but is not limited to, developing a labor resource model; establishing overall outage schedule; identifying major component and consumable parts needs; and supporting station leadership in overall outage execution.

The Servco WCM will analyze fossil unit life cycles and the OEM preventative maintenance requirements to develop a 5-year outage planning model for the fossil fleet.

This position will also be responsible for on-line and outage work planning and scheduling for the centralized field and shop maintenance organizations (M&RS) and the Laboratory Testing Services Group.

The position will oversee the QA/QC function for Servco and will manage the business affairs of Servco, including but not limited to, budgets and staffing requirements.

This position also leads or participates in initiatives to drive the Operational Excellence Model within Servco as well as improvements throughout the fleet. Participate in station and Fossil department strategic planning initiatives. Aggressively support the Operational Excellence Model, root cause analysis, lessons learned, reduce heat rate, reduce forced outages, improve outage performance, and improve reliability.

Required Skills, Competencies, Education and Experience:

  • BS in an Engineering discipline or 8-10 years relevant power plant experience.

  • 3+ years’ experience in outage planning and management

  • 5+ years’ supervisory/managerial experience.

  • Understanding of the key principles of business finance

  • Extensive knowledge of power plant work management systems and technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of complex projects with conflicting priorities while controlling scope, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including, written and verbal

  • Must foster an inclusive work environment and respects all aspects of diversity. Must demonstrate and value differences in others' strengths, perspectives, approaches, and personal choices
