Gain knowledge and experience through a variety of structured and supervised assignments, augmented by on the job training. Assignments meet business needs and provide the incumbent with a foundational knowledge of Customer Operations unmetered operations, Electric Distribution infrastructure and operations, regulatory requirements, business process & controls, lighting products, customer experience and systems.

At the BMA Salary Grade 24:

Obtain knowledge of PSE&G lighting products, pricing and order fulfillment practices. Gain a thorough understanding of the process from order request to installation and billing. Work on area lighting projects which may include small development projects. Interact with commercial and body politic customers for new opportunities and addressing product and services issues and ensure a positive experience. Develop relations with electric distribution and other internal groups as needed to strengthen partnerships and collaboration. Obtain baseline regulatory knowledge for effective use in decision making and compliance. Develop and apply planning and organizational skills that will optimize field and office time effectively. The position requires regular travel to customer job sites and various PSE&G facilities. The successful candidate must be flexible with their work schedule.

At the BMA Salary Grade 25:

All the above as well as lead in achieving order fulfillment targets, demonstrate process knowledge and superior customer experience. Demonstrate effective use of communication skills that enables collaboration and drives results. Master the use of systems, applications and reporting that demonstrates optimal business practices and results. Work independently under minimal supervision but also operate in a team setting that supports achieving results, sharing best practices and recommending improvements that optimizes the operation and will increase Distribution Margin Revenue.

Level will be determined by skills and experience

Required for Grade 24:

  • 0-2 years professional experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook

  • Well organized and strong communication skills

  • Experience in process documentation

  • Analytical aptitude

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

Required for Grade 25:

  • 2+ years professional experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience with face-to-face customer interaction

  • Demonstrated individual and team leadership skills

  • Effective problem-solving, decision-making and planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Able to interact effectively with a diverse organization and have excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Strong MS Office skills

Desired:

  • Utility infrastructure experience

  • Utility lighting knowledge

  • Experience using SAP
