About Business Resiliency:

The role of Southern California Edison’s Business Resiliency Department is to establish a more collaborative approach to business continuity and emergency management. It brings together stakeholders from across the company to help identify vulnerabilities and implement strategies that ensure the company and its employees are well-prepared to prevent, protect, mitigate, respond, and recover from disruptive events – natural or manmade. ​

Position Overview:

This position is responsible for managing the Technology Integration Program. The Program Manager is responsible for the implementation and continuous improvements of technologies supporting SCE’s emergency response and preparedness operations. The scope includes technologies that predict the magnitude of potential outages and business impacts to the company given various hazard and technologies that aid SCE in developing and maintaining situational awareness. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of projects by directing the design, analysis, strategies and execution of tasks needed to meet program and project requirements. You will provide management and strategic direction to a project team(s) and be responsible for project development, budget, and schedule. The Program Manager establishes goals, negotiates, and develops project plans. At higher levels, the hired candidate will be responsible for being the primary technical leader for a broad area of knowledge. Responsible for managing multiple complex projects concurrently.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Administration/management and enhancement of operational tools such as Geographic Information System, WebEOC, Predictive Analytics tools, Emergency Notification Systems, Fusion Systems, and satellite/alternate communications systems

  • Development of internal and external partnerships in the fields of science and technology to enhance SCE/BR ability to better understand potential impacts to the company based of varying hazards and threats

  • Project, budget and contract management

  • Requirements gathering, project execution, and reporting

  • Support during emergencies/response activations

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree

  • Seven years of experience developing information management systems that amalgamate data from multiple and diverse sources and display the data in useful format.

  • Five years of experience in developing evaluating legacy systems and implementing integrated solutions that optimize existing systems by automating data collection and display

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology related field (GIS etc)

  • 10 years of experience developing information management systems that amalgamate data from multiple and diverse sources and display the data in useful format.

  • 10 years of experience in developing evaluating legacy systems and implementing integrated solutions that optimize existing systems by automating data collection and display

  • Self-motivated and self-starter

  • Ability to work and communicate with wide variety of audiences

  • Works well independently and as part of a team

  • Ability to think strategically and develop appropriate tactical steps to meet strategic goals

  • Works well under pressure and with multiple priorities and often under tight deadlines

Comments:

  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA; however, the successful candidate may also be asked to travel to other SCE locations as needed.
