Position Overview:

The Organizational Development/ Organization Change Management Consultant will report to the Senior Manager of Organizational Effectiveness. The successful candidate will facilitate the structured and intentional deployment of Organizational Design & Change Management across and throughout the organization, develop overall planning objectives, timelines and OCM communication plans for business related changes as needed. He/she will build Organizational Design OCM capacity and capability across the entire organization, provide consistent, standards, practices, and framework to institutionalize OD/change management, creates an aligned network and system to facilitate organizational readiness in response to change, promote long-term organizational agility and cultural value of the organization, and consult in the org. design and development of key critical organization effectiveness projects that have enterprise-wide impacts to programs, policies, and processes.

The OD/OCM Consultant will be positioned in the OE COE and work with HR Business Partners, executives and managers to identify opportunities to improve performance, effectiveness, ensure success on key enterprise objectives and goals in addition to the HR communication strategy and HR OCM communication needs.

Typical ResponsibilitiesInclude:

  • Lead the design, development orrestructuring of new or existing business units, projects, programs,policies and processes across specific Organizational Units (OUs).

  • Lead the design and development of OCMprojects, programs, policies and processes across specific OUs.

  • Lead the design and development of keyenterprise objectives and goals related to the change communicationstrategy and OCM communication needs.

  • Conceptualize, recommend, and execute OrganizationalDesign strategies and measurement models to be leveraged within specificOUs.

  • Provide strategic analyses, advice, andeducation to executives and managers on organizational developmentinitiatives.

  • Act as a liaison between HR BusinessPartners Department, LL&OD and client organizations to report onconsultative findings in the development, recommendations, andimplementation of integrated solutions for OUs.

  • Lead and direct internal and external ODproject teams.

  • Perform other duties and responsibilitiesas assigned.

MinimumQualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years ofexperience leading/managing and/or working with organizational developmentand/or OCM strategy and plans.

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree.

DesiredQualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, IndustrialOrganizational Psychology or related field, preferred.

  • Certification in change managementmethodology, preferred

  • Typically possesses 10 years’experience leading large-scale OD and/or change management projects

  • Typically possesses 7 years’ of projectmanagement experience, leading and implementing enterprise-widecommunication programs/projects.

  • Demonstrated experience providing adviceand counsel to executives and senior managers on large-scale orgdevelopment and change projects that have a moderate to major impact onthe organization.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying andmanaging expectations of key stakeholders across multiple organizationsthat are impacted by the project.

  • Demonstrated experience integratingproject work with other ongoing initiatives within the organization unit.

  • Demonstrated experience establishing andmanaging project OD/OCM plans, measures of success and dashboards toprovide regular status updates to clients.

  • Demonstrated experience identifying andmitigating impacts to client work, roles and processes.

  • Demonstrated experience managing projecttasks and ensuring quality of all work products including change impactworkshops, readiness assessments, team health assessments, transitionplans, stakeholder assessments, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience acting as lead tocontract and/or junior SCE resources supporting project work.

  • Demonstrated experience managing vendorcontracts for supplemental support.

  • Demonstrated experience working directlywith various HR department leaders, relevant SMEs and key HR initiativeteams to provide strategic communication counsel to HR leadership.

  • Demonstrated experience developing andexecuting a yearly, integrated HR communications plan aligned with HRbusiness priorities including objectives, strategy, execution, successmetrics, and timelines.

  • Demonstrated experience creating anddisseminating HR and OD/OCM content across multiple platforms, includingkey HR messages, talking points, digital, print and social content, etc.

  • Demonstrated experience arranging anddelivering knowledge sharing workshops and training sessions asneeded.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitatingsolutions to clients’ team effectiveness issues, identifying appropriateinterventions and ensuring follow-up to resolution.

  • Demonstrated experience creating anddelivering complex and detailed presentations for audiences fromfront-line workers to executives.

  • Demonstrated experience acting as thoughtleader in the OD/OCM areas; work on special projects as requested.

  • Demonstrated experience managing andfacilitating the OD/change portfolio; providing oversight, reporting, andmanagement of the portfolio, risks, and enterprise-wide impacts.

  • Demonstrated experience developing,maintaining, implementing, and continuously improving the OCM standards,tools, and methodology.

  • Demonstrated experience facilitating thedevelopment, alignment and support of a Community of Practice andpartnerships with other OD/OCM practitioners around the company (i.e.,Change Agent Network).

  • Demonstrated experience leading anddirecting internal and external OD/OCM project team members.

  • Demonstrated experience acting as subjectmatter expert within OD and OCM disciplines.

Comments:

  • Up to 20% local travel may be requiredacross the Southern California Edison Service territory.
