About Energy Contracts Management:

Energy Contracts Management is responsible for managing the multi-billion dollar portfolio of energy procured for the long-term provision of power to the over 14 million Californians that SCE serves every day.

Position Overview:

As Document Management Specialist, you will be filling a critical role, responsible for ensuring that the documentation for these agreements are properly tracked and available to quickly provide for fellow Energy Procurement and Management team members’ business needs and for regulatory inquiries.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Administers SCE’s electronic and physical document management systems.

  • Develops and implements filing structures

  • Ensures the efficient retention of all items as part of or directly related to the varied contractual and other agreements supporting SCE’s purchase of nearly $5 billion of energy every year.

  • Maintains compliance with various requirements to ensure the efficient, accurate and prudent management and settlement of SCE’s energy contracts over their life cycle.

  • Ensures that SCE’s counterparties deliver the full value to SCE’s customers and to ensure proper cost recovery for SCE.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining processes, coordinating updates and maintenance of the systems.

  • Ensures proper access management, owning user training, and properly inputting and maintaining data, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor Degree in the Library Sciences, Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Four years of experience in contract or document management, database administration, or related.

  • Experience working with and maintaining confidential information.

  • One year of experience developing establishing and maintaining data management processes, updates and systems maintenance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A Master’s Degree in the Library Sciences, Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Five or more years of experience in contract or document management, database administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in paying attention to detail.

  • Experience within a regulated work environment.

  • Experience working with a sense of urgency.


  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA.
