Southern California Edison’s (SCE’s) Customer Service Organizational Unit (CS) shares the responsibility to safely deliver reliable, affordable electricity to our customers. We support this effort by working to meet customer expectations. Customer Service is dedicated to operational excellence and innovative thinking through our workforce in our call center, field operations, billing and payment center, outage and demand-side management and other service offerings.

Position overview:

The Communications and Events Coordinator will work with a variety of colleagues, leaders and stakeholders to coordinate communications delivery and event logistics for SCE Customer Service employee meetings.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning and executing large-scalemeetings at the CS level and at the division level

  • Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders andplanning teams across CS on all facets of onsite and offsite meeting logistics

  • Develop and follow through on project plans andchecklists to deliver compelling communications and events

  • Support presentation and video development as needed

  • Create and manage annual schedule of CS Senior VicePresident roundtable meetings across CS and arrange appearances at selectregional meetings

  • Coordinate logistics through local contacts

  • Prepare briefing sheets (meeting details, audienceinformation, employee concerns/issues)

  • Support broadcast email communications for CS executiveleadership as needed

  • Compose/edit/proofread draft and final emails andassist team efforts to ensure timely distribution

  • Create and maintain email distribution lists, sendemails and verify delivery

  • Route responses to appropriate contacts

Minimum qualifications:

  • Musthave associate degree.

  • Musthave two (2) or more years of experience in project coordination and eventplanning.

Desired qualifications:

  • Bachelor’sdegree in Business, Economics, Communications or related field

  • Fiveor more years demonstrated event planning experience.

  • Twoor more years of demonstrated project coordination/management experienceimplementing small to medium projects.

  • Strongcommunication, problem solving and organizational skills

  • Expertisein meeting management, logistics coordination, and broadcast email distribution

  • PMP(Project Management Professional) and CMP (Certified Meeting Professional)certification
