Job Summary

Dominion Energy has an exciting opportunity at our Richmond, Virgina 8th& Main office location for an Information Security Specialist. This position provides technical consulting and works closely with other specialist, senior staff, Systems Security staff, and management, to develop, recommend, and implement corporate-wide information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other elements of an infrastructure necessary to support information security. The successful candidate will also advise on effectiveness of data security and make recommendations for the adoption of new procedures and policies as well as maintains awareness of regulatory requirements, industry trends, and potential impacts to corporate security policies, standards, procedures, and generally accepted data processing controls. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Candidate must have 8+ years extensive technical experience in security aspects of multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications, and network protocols and must be considered a technical expert in field

Ability to train, direct and monitor work of team members

Must be able to identify and classify security exposures or threats that currently exists or is emerging, and that create potential threats to Dominion Energy’s infrastructure, systems or data

Ability to evaluate program, projects, and processes validating systems security settings and configuration to determine that they adhere to industry standards and best practices

Ability to lead risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and third-party security reviews to ensure that business partners, applications, networks, and infrastructure components adhere to security standards and policies

Ability to lead other risk, security, and privacy initiatives and services as appropriate

Ability to promote awareness of security issues amongst the team and organization

Ability to lead reviews of information security documents (policies and standards)

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Bachelor
