  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and provide general supervision for the construction, operation, and maintenance of a safe, economical, and reliable electric transmission and distribution system, within the assigned operating division.

  • Act as the Safety Champion for respective division and ensure the highest level of safe work practices.

  • The reliability of the electric system is measured in terms of outage frequency (SAIFI) and duration (CAIDI).The Director is expected to effectively manage the use of the service workers, maintenance crews, and division resources to ensure that compliance with the established PSC targets is achieved for both frequency and duration of outages.

  • Communicate effectively with customers by phone, in writing, or in person regarding construction, operations, and maintenance.

  • Investigate and resolve complaints, coordinate customer service needs with other departments as required, and ensure that customers are treated fairly and consistently.

  • Actively supervise the day–to-day activities of the division.The expectation is that the Director will spend 70% of the time planning, supervising, and enhancing the operations.

  • Capital and Expense Annual Work Plans are to be coordinated with the respective budgets and must be translated into monthly and weekly plans.

  • Set clear and concise performance expectations, and effectively communicate these.The Director sets the leadership example for the assigned division operations and is knowledgeable and prepared to implement the Electric Emergency and/or Gas Emergency response plans.Maintain the bigger picture vision and provide the leadership to ensure that divisional objectives and results stay aligned with Group and Corporate objectives.

  • As the district point person he is expected to provide the leadership and direction within the district as emergent issues arise and bring facility and security related issues to the appropriate parties for resolution.

  • The Director must identify and implement appropriate changes to existing processes that foster continuous improvement in productivity and development of individuals, work groups, as well as division performance.

  • Complete assigned, reports, goals, objectives, and special assignments on schedule through the appropriate use of corporate assets and control of costs.


  • High School Diploma or Equivalence degree and at least 5 years related experience; an Associates or Bachelors degree in a related technical field is preferred;

  • Experience supervising or directing others work is essential;

  • Ability to manage a wide-variety and number or projects and deadlines;

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
